Ajwain/Ajowan Oil is extracted from the dried seeds of Trachyspermum ammi L. by the method of steam distillation. Ajowan is an annual herb that belongs to the family of Apiaceae. The product is liquid and ranges in color from pale yellow to brownish yellow. Gama-terpinene, P-Cymene, and Thymol are the three main constituents of Ajowan Oil. The main application for the product is in flavor preparations.
